Well we have been so busy creating!!!! Last night our teacher went to a workshop and found a great new site!!!!! Is is called- if you can believe it- COWBIRD!!!!! We were laughing and wanted to hear more about this crazy site named after two animals!!!!! Miss B logged on and showed us what they made last night and talked about how you can tell a story through an image. We have been learning photography and art from her as a reward and are getting really great with framing a shot!!!! We already tweet and blog so we are familiar with putting information into short bursts that tell a lot! We fell in love with this site- it is what we have been searching for- a place to create socially, artistically, and academically! It is the PERFECT complement to our blog! We took a picture out side our window using Miss B’s I Phone, uploaded , edited it, and posted our first photo story!!!! We collaborated on a short poem and published our story- “Out our Window”. You can check it out at http://www.cowbird.com and search MissBClass. We already have one follower, a school principal from Pretoria South Africa!!!! Here is a pic of us publishing
We got so excited that we decided to create a world map of all our followers and people we decided we want to follow and read more stories from ! We have marks on South Africa and all over the United States! So very cool!!!!!
Today marks our one month anniversary into our yoga journey. We are so proud to say that we all LOVE it and can do a mean COBRA pose!!!!! We decided that doing yoga has helped us remain calm, be more focused while working, and relaxed. Some of us think we sleep better too! Here are some recent photos of our cobra pose and class!
“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”
Yes it is a great movie but did you know it is an even better book?!?! Picture books are a great way to teach critical thinking skills, as well as branch out and do some pretty amazing extension projects!!!! You all know us by now and if you know us you know we are all about projects!!!!!! “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” can be tied into all the subjects!!!!! It talks about space, food and nutrition, reading, art, and even social studies!!!! Miss B told us that is called “interdisciplinary learning” We read the book as one of our centers and are now going to begin a foods unit, weather research, learn about tall tales, and do some art! Here are some photos of us reading this GREAT book!
Well fans thats all for now!!!! Thanks for reading and we will blog again real soon 🙂
